Staying Bright In the Classroom: Back-to-School Bulbs

Even for those non-teachers among us whose days of summer vacation are well past, September never really loses that subtle melancholy feeling. With the passing of Labor Day, barbecues and deck chairs get packed up, warm-weather gatherings are over, and if you’re lucky enough to have a summer house or rental, up go the shutters. But breathe in that newly-crisp air, and shake the sand out of your shoes one last time. There’s plenty to enjoy about autumn and winter. And for those of you who are heading back to a classroom, we’ve put together a list of all the illumination needs you may need to plan for – it goes beyond that overhead track lighting.

Overhead LCDs and LEDs: As we said, we’ll go beyond these – but it’s a great place to start. Making your LED or LCD switch now means that your institution will start energy savings now, and the light provided is often friendlier and more welcoming than the harshness of fluorescents – perfect for a learning environment.

Projector Bulbs: For Powerpoints and other presentations, it’s important to make sure that the projector is working and ready to go, otherwise that could mean a whole lesson plan delayed or down the tubes. Don’t forget, we have LCD projector bulbs available (!

Smartboard Bulbs: Smartboards are probably one of the greatest classroom advances of recent years, and also need bulbs to power their amazing interactivity and educational capabilities.

Microscope Bulbs: Biology classes won’t get very far without lights for their microscopes.

Be sure to comment below with any more classroom light bulb needs, or just your favorite back-to-school memories, and contact us with any questions.
